Firebird was Stravinsky’s claim to fame in 1910. The popular ballet was soon adapted into an orchestral suite that remains one of the most played works in symphony orchestras around the world. Rising Swedish violinist Johan Dalene was praised for his interpretation of Barber’s intense violin concerto which he recorded in 2020.
