Leading Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen’s Horn Concerto was commisioned by five of the world’s most influential symphony orchestras and is now premiered in Finland with renowned soloist Stefan Dohr. Liisa Hirsch’s Threshold explores different liminal states. Strauss’s Heldenleben follows Beethoven’s Third in depicting masculine heroism at its barest. The concert is led by Kristiina Poska, one of Estonia’s most prestigous conductors.
This concert is part of the Tampere Philharmonic Subscriber Series 2020–2021. Subscriber Passes went on sale on May 18th 2020. Single ticket sales for the concert will begin on Tuesday August 4th 2020 at 9 am.
