Celebrated conductor Andrew Gourlay pilots the Tampere Philharmonic through Impressionism towards the Late-Romantic period. Internationally acclaimed soprano Tuuli Takala shines in Ravel’s Shéhérazade, a piece drawing influence from One Thousand and One Nights. Mother Goose is ballet music originally composed for a children’s piano series. Schönberg’s Pelléas and Mélisande is a gargantuan composition about the well-known story of two doomed lovers.
This concert is part of the Tampere Philharmonic Subscriber Series 2020–2021. Subscriber Passes went on sale on May 18th 2020. Single ticket sales for the concert will begin on Tuesday August 4th 2020 at 9 am.
