Echoes of Kalevala is a audiovisual concert experience celebrating the 190th anniversary of Finland’s national epic, the Kalevala. The performance blends the ancient Finno-Ugric tradition of rune singing with echoes of pop music. The concert visuals incorporate elements from the award-winning short film Under the Northern Skies (Pohjolan kaiut).
The Echoes of Kalevala concert features all the songs from Ida Elina’s new album Under the Northern Skies, performed for the first time with orchestral arrangements. The orchestrations are composed by Erno Tiittanen.
