Mansen tähdet – tarinoita ja lauluja

The soloist lineup for the Mansen tähdet concert is expected to include nearly twenty top artists originally from Tampere. Confirmed performers already include Jarkko Ahola, Mikko Alatalo, Pauli Hanhiniemi, Costello Hautamäki, Heikki Hela, Olli Herman, Pentti Hietanen, JP Leppäluoto, Noora Louhimo, Jore Marjaranta, Jenni Mustajärvi, Sami Saari, Laura Voutilainen, and Herra Ylppö. More artists will be announced during the spring and autumn.

Each soloist will select two songs from their own repertoire that are especially meaningful to them and connected to a personal and touching story. The evening will be hosted and moderated by Arto Nyberg, who will interview the artists about their song choices—why these particular songs matter to them and what stories lie behind them.

Tampere Philharmonic will perform with its 60-member orchestra, conducted by Antti Rissanen. Together with the soloists, they will create a refreshed and enriched concert experience through newly crafted orchestral arrangements of familiar songs.

The music is a firework of hits, and the orchestral arrangements created for this evening will lift these songs to new heights. This will be a truly magnificent and unforgettable night", says conductor Antti Rissanen.
