Eero Kiukkonen

Eero Kiukkonen began his trumpet studies at the Lahti Conservatory. He started his professional studies in Tampere and later continued at the Sibelius Academy, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2017. After this, he pursued his master’s studies in Denmark at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. He later completed a second master’s degree at the Sibelius Academy, specialising in baroque trumpet. This led to a strong interest in baroque music, and he can often be seen performing with the Finnish Baroque Orchestra. Before joining the Tampere Philharmonic, he worked with many orchestras, such as the Guard’s Band, Kymi Sinfonietta and the Finnish National Opera. In his free time, he can often be found at the climbing gym or practicing some other sport.
