Linda Halme
Linda Halme has been a violinist with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra since 2021. Her strong passion for ensemble playing was sparked as a child at the Kotka Region Music Institute, where the teaching was focused on orchestral and chamber music from the very beginning. Without this foundation, Halme’s career as a violinist might never have reached a professional level. However, that is exactly what happened: following her studies in Helsinki and Turku and years of freelancing with several Finnish orchestras, Halme now enjoys playing in Tampere with wonderful colleagues, both in small chamber ensembles and as part of a large symphony orchestra. In her free time, Linda enjoys slow mornings, sports, sweets, cats, silence as a counterbalance to music, cooking and eating, knitting, and hiking.
