Lotta Laaksonen
Lotta Laaksonen completed her professional violin studies in Jyväskylä and Tampere, studying with teachers such as Anatoli Melnikov and Ari Angervo. She graduated as a musician from the Pirkanmaa University of Applied Sciences in 2006. During her studies, Lotta was already a very active chamber and orchestral musician: she served as concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra Vivo and had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Jyväskylä Sinfonia and the Seinäjoki City Orchestra.
In addition to orchestral work, Lotta still plays a lot of chamber music, works as a theatre musician at venues such as Tampereen Työväen Teatteri, and enjoys playing popular music whenever a violinist is needed. In her free time, you might find Lotta on a Finnish baseball field.
