Frank Bridge and Joaquín Turina found their style in the bedrock of their homelands. Bridge’s Novelletten bursts with English elegance, while Spanish Turina’s tone poem captures the trembling soul of a bullfighter. The collaborative multimedia work by three artists, "The Earth We Leave”, portrays the fragile nature of the future Earth through ambient sounds, striking visuals and the regional song of Kainuu, performed by a children’s choir.
The concert is hosted by composer Minna Leinonen. The concert lasts about 2 hours including an intermission.
