8.5.2026
19.00 - 21.00
Tampere-talo Oy, Yliopistonkatu 55, 33100 Tampere
Wagner’s four Ring operas thunder as one orchestral work under conductor Pietari Inkinen. Violinist Ava Bahari shines in Chausson’s Poème and Ravel’s Tzigane.
Pietari Inkinen, conductor
Ava Bahari, violin
Ernest Chausson: Poème for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 25
Maurice Ravel: Tzigane
Richard Wagner: Ring without Words (Maazel’s version)
The evening’s program takes the listener on a journey through emotions and stories: Chausson’s Poème radiates sensitivity and inner drama, while Ravel’s Tzigane bursts with brilliance in Ava Bahari’s virtuosic interpretation. The concert culminates in Wagner’s Ring ohne Worte, Lorin Maazel’s masterful orchestral adaptation that condenses the mythical world of Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) opera cycle into one intense musical journey. Pietari Inkinen’s interpretations of Wagner have earned acclaim, and his Ring at Bayreuth was hailed as masterful.
