Tampere Biennale offers a full spectrum of the latest hits and modern classics of contemporary music. Kalevi Aho's storytelling fantasy resonates with ominous undertones of doom and despair. Award-winning Cecilia Damström's orchestral bombshell reveals the harsh truth behind the disposable consumerist fiesta. The concert is part of the Tampere Biennale contemporary music festival's program.
The concert is part of the orchestra's subscriber series, which includes a Pre-concert talk (Teokset tutuiksi) at 6 p.m. and childcare (Lapsiparkki, 10 €) at 6:45 p.m.
The concert has an intermission. The concert ends around 9 p.m.
Tickets: Adults 30 € / pensioners 24 € / students, unemployed and conscripts 15 € / children under 17 years 10 €. You can buy tickets from the Tampere Hall ticket office, Aplodi and the Lippupiste online store (Lippupiste adds service fees and possible shipping fees to ticket prices).
Please note that Agata Zubel's work Outside the Realm of Time is no longer part of the concert's programme, and it has been replaced by Unsuk Chin's work Alice in Wonderland: Puzzles and Games with soprano Piia Komsi as soloist.
