Heidi Kuula

Heidi Kuula served as the co-principal of the second violin section from 2000 before moving into her current position. She has also performed with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Heidi studied at the Sibelius Academy and at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, under the guidance of Kaija Saarikettu and Mi Kyung Lee. Before her professional studies, she attended the Sibelius Academy’s Junior Department, where her teacher was Henrik Botvay.

Alongside her orchestral work, Heidi plays second violin in the FINESTre string quartet. She has also performed with the Tampere Chamber Music Society Orchestra. Heidi has played together with her siblings since she was a little girl.
