Kirsi Korpela-Pulkkinen

2nd violin

Kirsi Korpela-Pulkkinen has studied violin at the conservatories of Jyväskylä and Helsinki, where her teachers included Olavi Pälli. She graduated as a violin teacher in 1985.

Korpela-Pulkkinen worked as a violin teacher at the Lappeenranta Music Institute from 1980 to 1981 and at the East Helsinki Music Institute from 1981 to 1986. She served as a full‑time teacher at the Helsinki Conservatory in 1986–87. Korpela-Pulkkinen has performed as a substitute in several Finnish symphony orchestras, and since 1988 she has been a permanent second violinist with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
