Liina Nuora-Loijas
Assistant principal 1st violin
Liina Nuora-Loijas graduated from the Sibelius Academy with a Master of Music degree in 2001. She has studied with Jaana Haanterä, Alexander Vinnitsky, Igor Bezrodny, Mari Tampere-Bezrodny, and Mi-kyung Lee, among others.
Nuora-Loijas has performed widely as a soloist and chamber musician both in Finland and abroad. She received the 4th prize and a special prize from the Finnish Broadcasting Company at the 9th Kuopio Violin Competition in 2000, as well as a special prize at the 34th International Violin Competition in Markneukirchen, Germany, in 1999.
Liina Nuora-Loijas is originally from Valkeakoski.
