Mark Reding

Co-principal clarinet

Mark Reding studied with Giambattista Sisini in Lucerne, at the Royal Academy of Music in London and graduated from the soloist class of Francois Benda in Basel.

He won 1. Prizes at SYMC in Zurich and Geneva and 4th prize/best windplayer at the 17th International Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition England in 2007.

As Soloist Mark performed clarinet concertos by Penderecki, Rossini, Mozart and Von Weber in Switzerland.

He recorded for Swiss Radio DRS2 as well as Yle Radio.

Mark got his first job at the age of 24 in the Aargauer Sinfonie Orchester (2nd and Bassclarinet). Extra work in Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Basel Sinfonie orchester, Finnish Radio Symphony orchestra a.o.

Mark enjoys playing chamber music and coaching the young generation. He loves the Finnish Nature in Summer and Winter.
