Experience epic fantasy music in the acclaimed SAGAS concerts
Strap on your sandals and sharpen your sword – the fantasy music phenomenon SAGAS is finally coming to Tampere! The grand themes and sweeping melodies of adventure fantasy will fill the Tampere Hall Main Auditorium on two magical evenings: Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of November, 2025. Tickets for the additional Thursday concert are now on sale.

Embark on a musical journey through the worlds of fantasy as the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and choir perform iconic scores from blockbuster films and legendary video games. The programme features music from Hayao Miyazaki’s anime classic Princess Mononoke, the 1980s fantasy favourite The Princess Bride, and the cult hit Conan the Barbarian.
Audiences will also be treated to themes from The Chronicles of Narnia, all three films of Peter Jackson’s original The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the unforgettable soundtrack of the acclaimed TV series Game of Thrones. From the realm of video games, epic scores from Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda will be brought to life.
Guiding this musical adventure, together with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, are rising Scandinavian conductor Gudrun Dahlqvist, renowned for her dynamic presence and versatility, coloratura soprano Marika Hölttä, and the acclaimed Tampere Philharmonic Choir.
Since 2015, leading Nordic orchestras have performed the SAGAS programme to sold-out audiences and widespread acclaim. In Finland, SAGAS has previously visited in Turku and Oulu. Now, for the first time, the concerts arrive in Tampere in collaboration with The Concert Factory.

- Ramin Djawadi – Winter is Here / The Rains of Castamere / The Children from Game of Thrones
- Jeremy Soule – The Dragonborn Comes from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This concert is designed for adults and young audiences and is not recommended for small children.
