The Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and Tampere Hall, in cooperation with Tampereen Energia, will host the traditional Park Concert at Sorsapuisto in Tampere on Saturday, August 8 at 6 PM. Each year, the event attracts thousands of people to enjoy the sound of a symphony orchestra in a relaxed atmosphere, sitting on their own picnic blankets.
The orchestra will be conducted by its Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Matthew Halls. The soloist will be the outstanding tenor Tuomas Katajala. The programme for the Park Concert will be announced later in the summer.
