Sunshine melodies and classical favourites at Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra’s Park Concert

11.6.2025 Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, Tampereen Energia and Tampere Hall will host the traditional end-of-summer Park Concert at Sorsapuisto park in Tampere on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at 6 PM. The orchestra is under the baton of Chief Conductor Matthew Halls, with soprano Anu Komsi as soloist. Admission is free.

20.5.2025 After a while, the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) is releasing a new album. The album is featuring the world premiere of works by composer Jouni Kaipainen and celebrating long and fruitful co-operation TPO had with him. The album SOUTH BY NORTHEAST features conductor Hannu Lintu and pianist Juhani Lagerspetz as soloist. The album continues TPO's collaboration with Alba Records.

20.5.2025 The Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert season 2025/26 offers passionate music experiences presenting love in its various forms as the unifying theme. The music tells stories of relationships, emotions and destinies of life. The programme is ranging from Bach's Christmas Oratorio to brand new music and premieres. The Finnish composer Sebastian Fagerlund is the theme composer of the season.

Nightwish’s new album Yesterwynde to receive symphonic world premiere by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra

4.12.2024 Finnish metal music icon Nightwish will see their critically acclaimed new album Yesterwynde performed for the first time on stage as a symphonic spectacle. Composed by Tuomas Holopainen, Yesterwynde Orchestral, will have its world premiere at Tampere Hall, Finland in August 2025. The music will be performed by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tampere Opera Choir, and a children's choir, all conducted by conductor Eero Lehtimäki. Tickets for the extra concert to be held on Saturday, August 30th, will be on sale starting Friday, December 20 at 9 AM.

Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates 95 years of music with Sibelius and Britten as the highlights

2.12.2024 The Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra will celebrate its 95th anniversary in 2025. The milestone year’s concert programme dazzles with its diversity. In addition to beloved classic works, the spring concerts will feature new pieces, premieres, rock and game music. The orchestra will start to collect memories of the shared journey, and call its audience to plan for the upcoming May Day concert. To mark the anniversary, the Tampere Philharmonic will introduce a new logo and visual identity.
